"I feel like when you're a new Black girl in the industry, there's just a standard of scenes you have to go through. Mine were the Black Girlfriend, Round and Brown, and basically everything pertaining to me being Black."
During this sit down with VladTV, adult star Chanell Heart gives some insight on scenes a Black woman would be offered in the porn industry. She also addresses one of her more controversial scenes - a gangbang with ten white men in Confederate Flag t-shirts for cumbang.com. When asked about the racial undertones of the scene, Chanell belies, "I am not conflicted by that." The adult entertainer explains that the scene was just another form of role playing and that the mood on set was actually fun. "Racism is very serious but at the same time we make jokes about that s*** too. I feel like when I was shooting those types of scenes it was an underlying joke," explains Chanell. "It ain't serious - I don't really feel like this."
She then goes on to address the backlash that she received for doing the scene while stating that the issue doesn't conflict with her own moral standings. People addressed her for her part in what many believe to be a racist depiction, but she's quick to point out that people rarely attack teen scenes - where girls are naughty schoolgirls with braces- which can be seen as a play on pedophilia.
